Summer time often leads to cool drinks with ice, ice cream and other cold treats – but it can also lead to tooth pain. If your teeth are routinely sensitive to cold, try lessening your exposure to extremely cold things!
- Cool your drinks in the refrigerator and don’t also add ice
- Use a softer bristle toothbrush
- Skip the over-the-counter tooth whitening products as they can increase tooth sensitivity
If your teeth are suddenly sensitive to cold, this is something to inquire about with your dentist and could be a sign of tooth decay or damage. Always visit your dentist for routine dental exams and ask questions about the health of your teeth.
